Would you wear it? Dramatic Red Lipstick for Spring 2012

The third Spring 2012 trend in my “Would you wear it?” series is, in my opinion the most wearable trend. Actually it’s not really new but designers reinvented the color and show that there are endless ways to wear a dramatic red.

Red lipstick works for any skin type and hair color and there is all different kind of shades and finishes. My current favorite is MAC’s Morange which is great for day and night.

MAC, Chanel, Lancome, drugstore brands… – finding the right Foundation

Finding the right Makeup is never easy. At least it isn’t for me. I’ve been looking for the right Makeup since years. Yes, you’re reading right – years. I’ve tried all different brands, shades, finishes – whatever there is I’ve tried it & I can’t say that I’ve found the perfect foundation yet. I don’t know why & I don’t think I’m expecting too much from a makeup but non of the foundations I’ve tried so far really blew me away. I’ve tried all different kind of high end brands like Chanel, Clinique, Lancome, Mac as well as drugstore brands like Covergirl, Maybelline or Revlon.some of the Foundations I've tried I’ve liked most of these foundations (the photo shows only some I’ve recently tried) but usually they made my skin dry and flaky. I never order foundations online and I rather pick up a bottle at the counter than a drugstore just because I like to make sure I’m getting the right shade & I hate that most drugstores don’t have samples and if they do, the light usually isn’t the best to find the right shade.

So all I’m looking for is a foundation that doesn’t dry out my skin, lasts for most of the day and gives me a good coverage. I’m heading over to a MAC counter this weekend to try out the Mineralize Foundation. I know it’s one of MAC’s more expensive Makeups & I will try it out in the store to see if I like it & hopefully that will be one that impresses me.

Do you have trouble finding the right Makeup? Any suggestions which one I should try?
